The main theme is in an alternate time period of earth. The world is in a post-apocalyptic state after a worldwide nuclear war. Alternate time periods fascinated me.
Post-Apocalyptic scenario, war still continues even after the whole world was nuked. Two factions fight against each other in what the remainder of the US is. They fight for aftermath resources, land and food. Most of the society has turned into scavengers and raiders. Your character on the other hand chooses to be different and become a nomad explorer. You also have a brother and a best friend who join you in your journey. Your brother has always acted like a younger brother, he greatly respects you and will follow you till the end. Your Best friend is extremely nice and is a pacifist but if he must use violence he does, only in the worst situations.
